steam cleaning leather question

I have a new TR5 steamer and am going to try it out tmrw morning.

For those that hv steam cleaned leather, which attachment do you use and do you use a mf cover on it?

My manual states that leather should not be steamed.

I tried the regular "spot cleaning nozzle" and it was mighty aggressive, so be careful if you try that. I can sure understand people saying :nono about it.

Spraying through a MF seems to work pretty well and it's a lot more gentle.

But those were just *my* experiences and I'd be very careful since *your* experiences might differ dramatically and I'd hate for you to mess something up.

Tks for the info. I went through 3 or 4 gallons of steam on a family style Big SUV today. I used the steamer for everything except the leather. My routine of cyclo/brushes and leather cleaner worked fine.

I would not have wanted to tackle that beast without the steamer and Mytee. 5 littlle kids and two dogs.

I am going to have a shower and beer now.
