Spilled kerosene - ANy way to clean ???

I had a space htr in rear of my Jeep and kerosene spilled onto carpet/pad 3 months ago. Ive tried cleaning with soap and water but still very strong smell remains.



Does anyone know of a way to remove this smell ???

My experience with kerosene is if you ventilate it, it will eventually dissipate, but it can take a long time...once the weather is warm leave the windows open.

Reduces noxious oil and gasoline fumes, when it no longer works heat (the sun/microwave) will regenerate it.
