Small washing machine?

Does anybody make a smalllllllll washing machine (e.g. you can only fit 2-3 jeans in it) to clean my microfibers with. I've been 'banned' from using ~my~ washing machine for that purpose, lol.

And I don't want to pay $500 for a normal-sized washing machine that will only see 3 cloths in it.

Seeing you guys with your without your privileges almost makes me guilty for using my front-loader computerized machine to wash my supplies. :|

By the way I do all the laundry around the house, and only I know how to program the washing machine, so no one is stopping me!

Eh, I use the garage washer for some household textiles, and the household washer for some detailing ones...but then I'm pretty much the laundry guy in our household just like the_invisible.

While those little washers look intriguing, especially for the money, I'd also consider buying a used washing machine. The older, more mechanical/less electronic ones last forever and are easy to service. They're often available really, really cheap.

Heh heh, that Avanti chiming out "Joyful, joyful, we adore thee..." at the end of every load would bug me something awful...give me "BEEP! any day.

I usually do a pre-wash in the laundry sink before I dump stuff into the laundy machine...Luckily for me, I have this honking cast iron sink right next to it.

This way I ~pre rinse~ the crud off of it so the CEO doesn't really give me a hard time...

I could buy an old cheap washing machine cheap and stick it outside, but I'd be worried about what was inside of it previously - i.e., anything that for some reason didn't rinse out and would contaminate my pads/cloths

Btw, the sad part is I'm not even married and it's all my house and stuff ... :chuckle:

I've got a huge *** sink the back too - for lightly dirty stuff I usually run the water and rub the cloths out by hand. For heavily soiled stuff I usually squirt some palmolive into the cloths, aggitate them, then spend 5minutes rinsing it out making sure all the palmolive is out of the cloth - of course at the end of that then they're clean again, but I'd much rather just chuck them in a machine and be done with it.

Eh, that wouldn't worry me at all.

I guess I'm more obsessive compulsive and a worry-wart than you .... that must mean I make a better autopean ..... brb, going to shine sungun/brinkman on the underside of my chassis looking for dirt :grinno:

A used machine is a great idea.

Washing machines generally last quite a long time. I sold my 10yr old industrial grade washing machine, which was in pristine shape both appearance and function, for $100 on Craigslist. The guy who bought it got a KILLER deal for my machine, and I am sure there are a lot of machines out there for this kind of deal as well.

The guy who bought my old machine claimed that his current washing machine at the time was over 40 years old, and was certain that mine would easily outlast that lol.

I just ordered one of those bucket washer chauncys. I guess I should order some pad and MF cleaner now. I used to clean everything by hand in my utility sink with MF cleaning powder, but not anymore.

I have an old washing machine that I don't use anymore in my basement, but I just don't have room for it in my garage. Maybe some day when I build a real one, I'll set that bad boy up in there.

PistolWhip- Yeah, hold on to that old washer.

efnfast- Heh heh, yeah, maybe my undercarriages are better taken care of than my washers  I bet they get cleaned more often!

But seriously...our household washer has a stainless tub, and I run "clean washer" cycles fairly often. My garage washer *does* make you wonder though, what with the nasty ring it gets (I clean it maybe every other week) and the last time I had it apart the insides *were* a little grungy...I *will* say that I don't run my really good clothes through the garage one, or my really nasty shop textiles through the household one (except when one or the other is on the fritz, which seems to happen more often than it should).
