Scents that last.

Has anyone found any car scents that actually last? I tend to drive with my windows down alot so I guess leaving them up would be a start :p

Seriously though....anything better than the little pine trees that I get from Discount Auto? :lol

Sorry, I don't. I have heard from many people that a lot of the times, the new car smell you smell is the glue used to adhere the carpet.

It's probably not what you were looking for, but the only scented product I've found that really lasts week after week is the leather scent in Zaino Z10 leather conditioner. I don't know what they put in this stuff, but almost everyone who rides in my car compliments me on it.

:)

Cheap lemon or citrus 'gel' type airfresheners I usually just open one a leave it under the passengers seat or place it in a door bin.

Have heard good things about the Zanio leather smell from the cleaner/feed.

I also think Groits interior leather scent is a good fairly long lasting smell, all depends on what aroma your after!

Mr. Concours: Does the Groits leather scent smell like old leather or that nasty new car smell? :lol

I've almost ordered it a few times but after my experience with other leather scents including the Yankee Candle, I gave up trying (Yuk! that YC thing smelled horrible). :)

Ditto!!! :bow

That new car leather interior smell. An awesome plus with Z10 conditioning function. :xyxthumbs

Also 1Z Teigenfleger has a very nice, pleasant and clean citric fragrance. :xyxthumbs

I have heard that the Yankee Candle Co. sells a leather-scented "Car Jar" air freshener that is quite nice. So strong that most people hang it in the trunk and the smell permeates the cabin with leather aroma. I've been meaning to try one, but haven't had the time to buy/order any.

Thanks TnM6i ,

I am now on my way to their site and order a couple. :(

Thats the "leather scented" air freshener I was talking about earlier. Good luck with it, personally I thought it smelled terrible, bad enough that I HAD to put it in the trunk!:lol

My girlfriend would not even let me use the leather-scented "Car Jar" in her car, she said it smelled so bad and she is a Yankee Candle/Bath and Body Works addict!

Go buy one and try it, they are inexpensive, just don't expect too much. Maybe you will like it!

ooops!! Just ordered a couple. They are cheap $1.99 ea before shipping.

I will report back next week.:xyxthumbs

Take a look at the Tropicare scents. They're all oil based and last pretty good if you spray them on a cloth or something and stash it under the seat, etc.

Also, as the person above stated, the Zaino leather conditioner also last for a while.. unfortunately none of my cars have leather any more.

Yeah I don't have leather :(

As soon as this storm passes (coming right for me!!) I'll order some of the Tropi-care ones and some of the Yankee candle ones.

Thanks!

A friend gave me a can of Vanilla scented spray. Once a month I spray some on the cabin HVAC filter.

Groits leather scent smell is more like a leather book mark smell more than anything thats the closest thing I can think of!,theres always Groits 100% satisfaction gaurantee if you dont like it,some people dont care for Groits as its a little expensive but for a one stop shop its hard to beat.

I'll buy some and give it a try! Thanks:)

I am using Griot's Leather Scent right now and I think it works great! The best thing I can compare it to is walking into a store that sells new leather furniture. It has a unique leather smell that isn't too strong, and it definately lasts a few days if you spray a little bit under the seats. I like using it to supplement my usual leather conditioning routine to help renew the smell.
