Saturday Silver Car Detailing

Todd and I worked on our cars today at my house-the "Detailing Lab". I did AIO+P21S on the hood and doors and got great results. The AIO really makes the silver flake pop.

Todd used AIO + Poorboy's Wheel Sealant on his wheels. The wheel flakes on Todd's alloys is as impressive as I have seen such a wheel look.

Here are some photos from today:

I'm such a nice guy, I let Todd's car have the best light. :)

Todd working on the wheels. The hood is really reflective from every angle. Todd has this detailing thing figured out.

To give you an idea of the gloss on my car from AIO and P21S. Superslick, reflective, depth out the wazoo, awesome!...okay I'm biased here ;)

This only hints at the reflectivity on the wheels:

I love silver cars. My next car is going to be silver (or maybe white again).

They both look beautiful. Great job to both of you.

Wow, both cars look stunning! :up

I love silver too, we've got two silver cars and I'm always amazed at how incredible they can look.

mmmmmm....silver!! :D :xyxthumbs

One of these days we're going to have to stick a silver WS6 in that picture!! ;)

Come to Hilton Head for a vacation and we can have four cars in the picture. I need company, LOL.

Both cars look nice.

They both look great!

Correct me if I'm wrong...didn't you just post AIO/P21s a couple days ago? Why'd you strip it down?

WG Tire Gel ;) ?

Good question. I did the trunk lid and roof. Today I did the rest of the car. Being Autopian, I added another layer of P21S on the roof and trunk of course. :p

WG Tire Gel on the Lexus tires and Poorboy's Wheel Sealant on the wheels after P21S Wheel Cleaner Gel (the "gel" is THE one to get).

Have you tried the P21S liquid? What do you like better about the gel? I can't imagine your wheels are ever all that dirty.

I have two of both products-I'm a big fan of the line.

The gel cleans better. I think it is a better, more improved formula and the gel helps it cling to the wheel longer.

You are right..my wheels don't ever get real dirty although brake dust can build. I have a highway commute to work and if I time it wrong the braking can be steady.

I always thought of the gel as a more intense cleaner, to get what the liquid can't take care of.

Did you see my pictures of the Infiniti wheels I cleaned? I don't know that I'll ever see dirtier wheels than that, and the liquid cleaner came through very well.

this is AIO + the prototype Poorboy's Wheel Sealant:

The tires are dressed with Wolfgang Black Diamond Tire Gel.

Not really. Both products are very mild so they can be used often. P21S is very safe. The gel is sort of the more improved cleaner. Both work well but the gel is just formulated to stay on longer and let the chemicals do the work.

Let us know when Mike! Lee and I get together once a week and talk detailing, audio & jazz.

Thanks for the compliments everyone.

Great looking silver! I really like the dust and imperfection hiding abilities of silver. I keep thinking of buying a silver vehicle but the lack of depth keeps me buying dark colors. Maybe one day I'll take the plunge.

Lee,

Very impressive. Interestingly, I recently tried AIO + Souveran on my black BMW, and felt this was the best combination I've tried to date. I just think the AIO leaves the paint so nice it is best to go directly to the carnuba, as I had previously applied several layers of SG first. I currently have AIO+SGx2+Souveran on my wife's "bamboo" Lexus RX330. I wanted durability as I have a hard time keeping that vehicle still enough for a full detail. But next time I am trying AIO+P21S to see if I can duplicate your incredible results.
