Car was due for a mini detail, its has been a few months since my ride got a little love. Figured what better chance to test out a new LSP I acquired!

2BM UWW+ Rinseless Dilution
Nanoskin Mild Sponge to decon
CG Sig Series Wheel Cleaner on Wheels and Tires (covers got a coat of BFCS) Mothers brushes to scrub.
Windows cleaned with CG Optical Clarity Glass Cleaner. Windows previously coated with DP Glass Coating, phenominal stuff!
DP Prep Polish to remove prior LSP’s and to give the paint a good deep cleaning it needed (Polish used via Griots 6” with Black finishing pads speed 4-4.5)
Sonax Premium Class Carnauba as LSP
No before shots, the cars was in good shape as most of ours are. So we’ll go right to the afters and some thoughts.
Glamour shots:
First off, this smells horrible. Usually I am not someone who cares about a products scent, but this was just not pleasant. Which really stinks because the wax is a joy to use. It spreads really nice. I applied by machine and hand. I like applying waxes by hand though, but toward the end I whipped out the machine to cover my roof, quick! The package includes two applicators, which you see pictured. They fit perfectly in the pot and really don’t soak up much product. It’s a WOWO wax, however I let it sit a panel and then wiped off. Call me crazy but I go against the rules(/sarcasm). The wax itself is pretty slick once set, not the slickest but it’s there. It really gives a nice look though. Very warm on my car. It muted my flakes slightly but not as much as some other products have. Probably due to prep to, no real cutting involved just cleaning. These pictures were taken a few hours after this was all over.
Here’s the rub though. This wax is really similar to P21S. They are packaged the same, the same price(now) and from the box, it’s contents, to the tub, it looks the same. However, I no longer have my P21S, so I can’t compare nor do I remember if it smelled as horrible as this. So going out on a limb and totally guess, but I’d say they might be at least manufactured by the same source. Just my guess, what do I know…. They could be different formulas, but the packaging is very similar.
I will say though, I did enjoy the wax. Despite the smell, it applies easy, looks nice, and if I can see 2 months from it here in the So Cal climate, I’ll be happy! For it’s price, I’d say it’s worth it. Like other SONAX products I have tried, it was indeed good! I say go for it if you want to drop some money on a wax that delivers.
