Review of wheel wax

Just got finished using wheel wax on chromed rims. Was skepitical sp of how good it might be. Have be using Klasse AIO to prevent dust since it is acrylic based. Klasse did a god job. But this wheel wax has left them cleaner and protects form brake dust better. Reminder I have chrome rims, so I don't know how it would work on aluminum rims. Give it a A for my application. Good detailing!!

i second the above. Wheel Wax is very easy to use, and seems to keep the dust off well. Wheels are really easy to clean afterwards.

Any ideas of how it would compare to collinite 845? As with most german cars, my Audi produces a hell of brake dust. I'm not sure how well the collinite repels the dust, but it is extremely easy to wipe the dust off. I can use an old dry cloth to make the alloys look new again.

I have both, but haven't run a test against each other. Sometimes I put 845 on and other times I do the Wheel Wax. Once I run out of Wheel Wax, I probably won't replace it though. 845 is more versatile (Wheels, paint, etc) and the Wheel Wax is sort of a gel now after about 6 months. Still useable, but it's like pudding and a little more difficult to work with.

I guess when I first got it in the begining of summer the heat made it more of a smooth cream. Now it's back to the "pudding". Either way, I still feel the same.

I have never tried collinite 845 but generally most car waxes leave a static charge and atract dust. That is why I was skepical about wheel wax. But I was wrong. It really keeps the dust away.

Wheel wax worked out great for me as well. I have a 337 VW, whihc has the audi brakes, and I have BBS wheels, so the cleaning is a pain. Wheel Wax has been working out great for me. I do not know if it attracts less brake dust, but it makes the wheels much easier to clean.

So is Wheel wax better than PB's Wheel Sealant? I want to buy one of them this week. Also which holds up to (gasp) car washes (winter is coming) and cleaning better?

i've actually read that wheel wax changes the polarity of the surface on the wheels and some of the ability of wheel wax to keep wheels clean comes from it.



Dunno ... but like wheelwax.
