This should be a simple question:

How do I remove wax?

Just applied it yesterday before I realized that there is more i can do to remedy my webbing/swirl marks.

Its just Prestone synthetic.

Thanks in advance,

Jeremy

Any solvent-based cleaner like Prepsol will work, or you can wipe down the car with a 50/50 mixture of IP alcohol and water, or clay....if you're going to polish the paint, I wouldn't bother, it will polish right through the wax.

I like prepsol or alcohol for wax removal only. Why not a cleaner designed to poliish, remove wax, oxididation and the like. You can save your self one trip around the car.

Dawn is regarded as being too harsh on vinyl, rubber, and the like. It dries out those surfaces, and paint, of their natural oils/waxes (rubber contains wax for protection). As a saying on here goes, "Dawn is for dishes. Leave it in the kitchen." If you must use Dawn, I would definitely use a glaze/polish afterwards to replace oils lost in paint. Use a conditioning type vinyl/rubber protectant on those surfaces for the same reason.

For the original question, if you'll be removing swirls/scratches with any type of abrasive polish, don't worry about the wax/sealant you put down previously. A polish will very effectively remove it while it is working on the swirls. Just be sure to apply some after polishing to protect the paint.

Absolutely agreed.:up

Dawn! :shocked Don't use it! It will dry out the paint. I agree about the aggresive polish. It will take the wax right off.
