Removing an emblem from a 3 year old car?

I've got a 2000 silver car that I want to remove the emblems from. I know that after a few years there's some color fade and when the emblems are removed the difference is noticable. What about removing it from a bright silver color car, what results can I expect?
 
I would imagine you would still see that they were removed. If it were my car, I would leave em on. Let us know if you decide to do it anyway, I would like to know how it turns out - pics please.

:rolleyes: opions stated as facts are not cool. I like the shaved clean look. If the emblem has pins in it that go into the car then yes it will show. If it's just adheared on there with glue you can take it off clean and buff and you will never know it was there.
