Refillable aerosol can...use less product

Diesel Sniffer
I was looking thru my harbor freight mailer today and saw a refillable aerosol can for $10. I thought to myself, bulk tire dressing would go great in one of those and would probably use less product than a manual trigger type dispenser. So I went over to the newly built HF in my area and low-and-behold they stock them. So for $21.18 I walked out with 2 cans, great to be able to pick them up and not pay like $10 shipping. Got home and poured some of the michelin tire dressing I recently tried in one. They come with 4 spray caps for different type's of viscous fluid, I used the fine spray and it worked great. You fill the can half way with the fluid of your choice and then using a standard bike pump, or in my case a 12v air compressor for the car, fill to 80psi and went to work. Coats the tire's much more evenly than the trigger bottle it came in and was much quicker with much less product use. It's only compressed air so it won't hurt the environment any more than the trigger bottle and it's reusable, not to mention the product you save with the more even coating fine mist.

If you have a HF close to you check it out, probably be good for car scents too. I don't know if this should be here or in the product review, I thought it'd be better here as it make's less use of product and that's always good for the bottom line;)

That is an excellent idea! Have you tried putting some S&W or any other QD in it? Even better would be a slight foaming action.

Haven't tried it yet, but more than willing, actually now that you remind me I'm in need of some more QD.

I use $5 pressurized cooking oil sprayers for 303 and QDs in some instances. They work great when you want the product to cling and stay localized. :up

Thanks for the tip! I'm definately going to check it out. I buy IG in the 5 gal. drums. Sounds like this would be perfect. I have to think about giving it a trying with some other things...what about your favorite APC or S&w or S&G?
