Rail Dust

How and what do I need to use to remove the rail dust from a white vehicle?

I was told that rail dust is small rust spots from the brake dust. Is this true??

I want to remove it, it looks like I have small rust starting. I know it is not rust from the sheet metal. Because I can remove it with my finger nail.

I need help in removing this pain in the A$$ stuff.

The answer to your question is a clay bar. Any one of our sponsors on this site have clay bar supplies. Get your self a lubricant such a QEW( a waterless wash mix into a QD solution), a dedicated QD, a dedicated claybar solution spray, a mix of soap and water in a spray bottle or use the car wash soap and a bucket of warm water and a sponge to help lubricate the paint when using the claybar.

Use the search button at the top of the page to find a whole host of threads regarding the claying process. In lieu of that you can use the sponsor that you order from to get information as to the "HOW TO's of using clay.

You should try some detailing clay to get that rail dust off. That should get it then go over your car with some polish. Good luck!
