When would someone use either Meguiar's Fine Cut or Medium Cut instead of using DACP?

What are Fine Cut, Medium Cut and Heavy Cut Cleaner used for in relation to #80, DACP or Compound Power Cleaner?

How much more abrasive is Medium Cut compared to DACP?

Does the "Cut" products polish out like DACP?

If DACP isn't effective, do you move up to Medium Cut?

How do these "Cut" products fit into the detailing arsenal?

I'm assuming you need to use them with a rotary.

I'm having difficulty knowing when to use what product. Any info would be appreciated. :up

The fine, med and heavy cut cleaner are know as traditional cleaners. They were designed for older type of paint finishes. If your working on a late model vehicle finish I would stick to the 80 series od meguiars products.

#2 Fine Cut Cleaner has been reformulated. It can be used by rotary, DA, orbital or HAND!!!!!!! I had success using it on a black NSX with light swirling just last weekend at Meguiar's. We were tied between using this or #80 and the #2 won out. It works best with a small amount of product and about 2 lbs. of pressure with the speed at 5 and a polishing pad. It breaks down quickly and polishes nicely.
