PRODUCT REVIEW: Wolfgang Perfekt Vision glass polish

This is the next new Wolfgang product I was able to try out.

Wolfgang Perfekt Vision Glass Polish polishes and restores auto glass windshields and windows.

Now I have used other glass polishes in the past. Mainly ones that contain Cerium Oxide. Although they work, they are not very user friendly in my opinion. You have to keep the surface wet and cool in between machine polishing. More often than not it ends up creating a mess.

When Nick told me about this new polish and how it has a engineered abrasive and it being more user friendly which is a big concern of mine(time is money!) I was eager to try it out. My test subject was my Pontiac Grand Prix GT(can be seen in the link below)

PRODUCT REVIEW: Wolfgang Uber Ceramic Coating/Perfekt finish paint prep

PRODUCT REVIEW: Wolfgang Perfekt Vision glass polish

This test was nice because after doing the correction work to the paint, the driver side of the car was in the sun a bit and the passenger side was still in the shade. With this I was able to try it at different temperatures.

For this test I used my BOSS G21 with a BOSS orange correcting pad set to speed 5. I dabbed a few nickel sized drops on the pad.

After spreading the product around I began to polish in the same manner I would a painted surface. Using the same cross hatch method after a few section passes the polish began to turn to a haze and then clear.

Now on the passenger side where the glass was a bit cooler the polish worked just as described on the directions. Wipe of was easy and the glass was very smooth. On the driver side where the glass was a bit warmer the polish worked good but as expected was a little tougher to remove completely. To aid I used a spritz of the Wolfgang Perfekt Finish Paint Prep. So I would definitely follow the recommended directions and use this on a cool surface.

This is the pad after completing the polishing. Now mind you prior to this I had washed and nanoskin the glass during the prep stages of my detail. You can see that it really pulled off some embedded contaminates.

Overall I think this is a well thought out product. Using this as a prep before applying Wolfgang Uber Ceramic coating is a great easy combo to get PERFEKT GLASS!

Great review Justin. I am going to try and apply it by hand. It looks like you got fantastic results with the PC.

sounds like a good product, especially having seen what was on the pad after your initial clean down, where is it cost wise Justins00ss

Thanks for the review. How much product do you feel like it took to do you windshield and or vehicle if you did all of it? The side window looked taped off as well.

Great review Justin. Looks like it works well.
Did you use Wolfgang glass cleaner also?

Yes it seems to work very well! Yes I have used the new Wolfgang Perfekt Vision glass cleaner. I have a review on Autogeek. Just haven't posted it here yet

I definitely would like to try a sample of that. Thanks for the review.

No problem! Glad to help

I'm gonna be using this soon, ahead of coating with PBL v2 for the winter. I see it says to use a DA, but is it ok to use a rotary? Also, I'm not familiar with the BOSS pads, how aggressive is that orange pad? Just trying to figure out what pad in my arsenal to use.

I bought the gallon sized container and was putting it into a small squeeze bottle for use, but my product kept separating into a blue solid and a whitish liquid. It did not matter how long I shook the product it would not combine into one product. Is this normal for this product or did I get a bad batch? Thanks.

As for being able to use it with a rotary I am not sure if it will work. Not saying it can't but it may heat up to quickly. The orange boss pad is a medium cut pad. On paint it is for moderate defect removal.

Interesting. Pretty sure that's not normal. My bottle is mixed up fine. May want to contact Nick or Ray.

The PE8 with a 3" rayon glass pad like the Griots Glass Polishing ones works great.

I know for a fact that this particular glass polish is not to be used with a rayon pad. I personally asked Nick about it. He suggested a medium foam cutting/polishing pad.

Just a follow up to my comment about a bad batch. It was a bad batch. My gallon looked like water and blue cottage cheese. The great guys at Autopia sent me a new gallon and it is a nice creamy blue. All is well!
