Product Review: Adam's Revive Polish

COME AT ME BRO
Packaging: Very nice bottle with catchy black, red, and chrome label. 12 ounces. Flip-top dispenser. Spout tip on the dispenser allows for very precise application of product.

Product: The Revive polish is viscous and orange-colored. It is non-abrasive. It has a unique smell. I’m not really sure what the scent is, but that’s not really an important issue.

Directions: The directions say to dampen the Adam’s Microfiber applicator with the Adam’s Detail Spray and apply a small amount to the pad. Spread the Revive around the perimeter of the panel and then apply with long, straight strokes. It makes appoint not to get it in cracks or on emblems. Remove residue with the Adam’s Microfiber Polishing Towel. Directions also state that Revive can be mixed with Adam’s Scratch Out to remove moderate swirls.

Adam’s Microfiber Applicator: A relatively big applicator. I would not suggest for small-handed people, as it might be “too” big. It is a very plush applicator. Personally, I do not like MF apps, as I feel I use too much product with them. I prefer the foam or terry pads for hand application. The Adam’s MF app feels more plush and is a lot thicker than the cheapie one from AutoZone. A good applicator, but after using, it is still not my first choice for hand application.

Application: I wanted to follow the directions and use the polish by hand. I applied as instructed; misting the MF app, applied a “small” amount to the pad, worked in long straight strokes with the direction wind flows over the panels. I feel that I used too much, but I think this is due to my using the MF applicator. The Revive flowed pretty easy onto all my paint surfaces. Easy to spread. I did try to avoid cracks, but purposely got the Revive on some trim just to see if it would stain (I remember Nick saying it was safe/would not stain trim). It didn’t stain the trim, and in all fairness, did a really good job of cleaning it up a little bit. I think I may use it around the windows the next time I do a thorough detail.

Removal: Used the Adam’s Microfiber Polishing Towel to remove the Revive polish. The Revive came off pretty easy. I did have a couple of “tough” spots, but gave it a quick shot of the Detail Spray (as recommended) and it came off with ease. I think this may be where I had too much product. One great thing about the Revive (and also the Butter Wax, which I will mention in another review) was there was no dusting. Came off clean, with no little specks to get off. :bigups Also, the Revive performed as advertised and removed some water spots and left the paint surface squeaky clean and ready for some Butter Wax. On a side note, the Adam’s MF did not have a problem with getting “saturated” with product. I probably could have gotten another full size vehicle with the MF and not had a problem.

Overall, I liked the Revive polish. I think I will like it better using it by PC or a foam applicator if by hand. Performs as advertised, and you can’t complain with that. One note – I did use this in a garage and the paint surface was cool to the touch. The paint surface was also relatively clean. I do hope to get a chance to use this on a more neglected finish and maybe out of doors to test the versatility of the product. A good choice for a polish, and another good product from Adam.
