Pressure washer - soap dispenser?

I have a good pressure washer and would like to use it washing the trucks but not sure what the best type of soap dispenser would be. I don`t understand what benefit a foam cannon would be. It seems to me, having the high pressure with soap like at the car wash would be better. Let me know what you folks think. Thanks.

All of it is really a waste of soap. On something that is really trashed a soap presoak with a foam cannon is probably your best bet. Foam canons make a lot of foam with a lot less soap compared to something injecting soap before the pump like at the coin wash. It`s really the pressure doing the cleaning, not the soap.

But it’s so fun and entertaining. Lol. On a vehicle that is only mildly dirty I pressure wash first, then foam heavily. I then take my wet mitt and go over the surface of the car and then rinse. The heavy foam provides lubrication and cleaning power. It’s faster than the two BM and also saves my back from all the bending over rinsing out and soaping my mitt. I haven’t noticed any swirls or marring from doing a wash this way.
