I got a sample from mikeyzr so i cant really comment on packaging. It comes in the same bottle as spray and wipe and BnB so it should be good.

Description

Spray & Gloss is a quick detailer with superior gloss enhancing properties. You’ll find the formula is very slick, which allows gritty particles to slide off without scratching your paint. Dust, dirt, fingerprints, and smudges wipe off instantly to uncover a just-waxed shine. The formula contains impressive gloss enhancing agents that really turn up your shine and improve the brightness and clarity of your paint. Like any Poorboy’s product, it works as well as more expensive brands but costs less.

Color/Scent

It is green. It is a brighter color than spray and wash so you cant really get them mixed up. The scent smells like pledge wood cleaner. I cant say i really like the smell but I can deal with it. Its nice that is has a different smell than spray and wash

How i used it

I applied this to a fresh coat of DP's Max wax. I spray it on spread it with one side of a folded mf and then flipped and buffed out. Nothing really more to it. I use Spray and Wash prior to Spray and Gloss if the surface is dirty.

Thoughts

I didnt really like the smell of this product but it will not stop me from buying more of it. The result it leaves is very nice look with some added slickness. When i intially apply this it is not slick but after a short while it starts to feel slick. You really have to wipe this right away after you have sprayed it on or it will dry and streak. It is not as leaniant in application as adams DS but as far as looks I think the Spray and Gloss takes the cake. I will definatly buy more!

For those of you who "really" want to go crazy with the S & G and go for some "Super POP" :D consider trying this...

Apply and remove some S & G in a normal manner.
Wait about an hour or two after the first application/removal.
Next, if you have a large DFTowel... get it, or get yourself two of your best "low knap" MF towels.
Now, spray on a little more S & G than you would normally use and spread it with the DFTowel or one of the MF towels. Then flip the DFTowel over (or grab the other MF) and lightly, but vigorously, "buff" the S & G dry. :bigups

NOTE:
Keep in mind that applying the S & G a bit more heavily than usual might cause some streaking. Buffing it as described should take care of that and really add some "POP". So, don't blame the S & G if you apply way too much. It might take a few tries to figure out the perfect amount.

What look does this different technique achieve? My default QD process is lightly, but thoroughly mist on panel, immediately spread around with plush mf, then turn mf over and buff till it disappears. That sounds a lot like what I already do, so what does the second coat achieve?

Well, it's a second coat... and a heavier one at that! By buffing it lightly, but vigorously with a fine towel, you can achieve more gloss/shine... at least in my opinion. Even my wife says "WOW"! :D When it gets her attention, I know I've done good! :D

I tried S&G the other day and I have to agree with everyone else and give it to thumbs up. Looks like tommorow after work I am going to have to try the second coat method.

Yep, you have to play around with it a bit to get just the right amount... and you need some "great" towels. However, once you get it right................. :bigups

I'm always looking for an "edge"! :D

Nice review Greg. I'm indifferent on the smell, I do like the color. I'm very happy with the results I get. It really sets off a good base of EX on my black truck. I too have "layered" S&G with great results. Sometimes I S&G once a day and it is super easy to keep up and the shine is great. I have a gallon now and will get another soon...just because!

interesting finding Boss..has anyone else noticed that Bird Bombs come off really easy too?:dunno ...I was bombarded on Friday..my green truck's hood was white when i came out in the morning and just a squirt of BSR and it was flowing off the hood:)

THAT'S AN UNDERSTATEMENT OF GIGANTIC PROPORTIONS!
No Steve I haven't noticed. Wether it's Spray and Gloss,Natty's or a sealant, bird bombs don't cling to my paint even if they're baked.

Okay...After reading the posts, I had to go downstairs to the garage and "re-smell" my S&G. I guess it is like Lemon Pledge or a lemon oil furniture polish but I don't mind the smell at all. I certainly love the results. I have used it on just about every exterior surface. Another application method that was posted here (or Autopia, can't remember which) was for use after a full wash. Spray S&G after doing the first pass with the WW when drying the car when there is still a small amount of water on the finish. Follow with a wipe with another WW or a buffing MF (I like this better) and flip for a buff. Super shine. I also tried a spray of S&G to remove a coat of Natty's after it hazed. Wonderful shine and certainly quicker at getting Natty's off ( not that it is terribly difficult anyway). I think there is a superior bit of shine with these methods.

Those birds up your way must eat light low cal salads. :lmfao

Birds my way eat those blue or red acid berries. :eek

Nothing stops that from etching unless you get it off quick.

Even so Spray & Gloss is worthy of :bigups :bigups
