Please help me fix this (pics inside)

The plastic trim around my rear windows is all etched from the sun. I am wondering if you guys could suggest how I could repair it. I was thinking of maybe applying Bondo to it and repainting it but I am not sure if Bondo will adhere to the plastic.



Please let me know if you have any suggestions

The pitting is fairly deep. I don't think I could sand it down enought to get it smooth without it looking wierd. Thats why I thought I might have to fill it in with something.
