I am wondering where all the detailers get their supplies over here in LA.

I usually order off of AG, but shipping is taking a while and I need a couple things for the weekend. Is there a place I can get detailing supplies (specifically ONR and 5 gal bucket) locally?

thanks

thank you!

any places closer to the santa monica area?

that was what i was looking for though, thanks!

I would take a drive out to Chemical Guys and talk with Paul. When I was down from Utah I went to see them. Paul treated me very well and very helpful.

I love the internet.

It’s so cool that guys from Columbus, Ohio and Logan, Utah can give you better advice about where to find local detailing supplies in LA than 99.999% of the “car guys you’ll run into in your own back yard. :bigups

5 gallon bucket: Go to any hardware store like Lowes or Home Depot. I prefer Lowes as they have this semi-translucent 5 gallon bucket that fits grit guards perfectly, has a padded handle, and is clearly marked on the outside of the bucket, where you can easily see where your waterline is.

ONR: Locally, I don't know of any place that carries that. Patrick @ excel detail carries it but IIRC, I don't think he sells via a storefront. But who knows, maybe he makes exceptions for some SoCal residents? Since it's already Thurs evening, I don't know if any place can get it to you by Sat. without you paying for expedited shipping. UPS Ground doesn't do Sat. delivery unless you pay extra and Parcel Post could possibly get to you by Sat but it's not guaranteed.

FWIW, I order most of my items off the internet from AG. Shipping time really sucks, but it's free, I don't pay tax, and AG almost always ships out same day or following day.

Thanks for the reply. I have a bucket, but not a way to transport it. i think i am going to get a couple 2 gal distilled water containers (similar to the ones for drinking out of) so i can cut out water spots too :D
