My TT today told me it is running low on windsheild washer fluid. What should I be getting to refill? I am sure not the 2 dollar pink stuff at walmart. reccomendations?

I use the $1 blue stuff from the hardware. I also add in some P21S Windshield Washer Booster. Someone else makes a booster like product too, maybe 303 or something.

I'm real happy with Rain-X Bug Remover Windshield Washer Fluid. Can be a little tough to find sometimes. Prestone makes a similar product. Here in Florida, we sometimes get more bugs than rain.

I also use the windshield wiper fluid every time I start my wipers. I believe it helps lubricate the wiper blades, and reduces wiper marks. That first wipe, even with a wet windshield, has a lot of grit. May be another "Florida thing," with all the sand we have around everywhere.

I'm about to treat my windows with Aquapel. It will be interesting to see if there's an interaction with the Aquapel and the Rain-X WW fluid.

I have never used the fluid on anything that I cared about.

When I sold my civic, it still had OEM fluid in the tamk. :)

Well, we have four seasons, but only a mild winter. Perhaps if we had a more harsh winter?

How come you don't use your fluid? I am just curious. I use mine all the time in any season. :dance

I don't like the way it leaves water spots on the hood around the nozzles. I also don't like it to come into contact with the paint.

I can't really think of a time when I actually needed it.

If my car is clean and the windshield becomes soiled or full of bugs, I just wash it when I get home.

I don't use wipers on my windshields unless the glass is clean--I have seen some fairly marred up windshields. ;)

Ok, thanks all. I liked the answer pink stuff at walmart. Funny. I will look for rain-x orange. Then whatever else looks "quality" im in texas so its more bugs than snow or ice anyway.

I lived in memphis, and in the winter of 94-95... there was a 7 day ice storm that in which noone had electricity...i had a 40 foot tree laying down in my front yard and all the way across the street, closing the road... The winters arent all that mild, being cold and sleety...

worst winter ive seen

i hated winters in memphis... the ones we did get anyway

I was a junior in high school, my house was one of only a few that *had* electricity--it was like a hotel!!

My friend had a 89 Tercel, we drove all over town to survey the damage (we were out of school for about a week), picked up our GF's (my now wife), and just had a ball.

Good memories for me. :D
