Optimum: Adding Power Clean to ONR

So far ONR has done its job well for me. I was thinking off adding more "bit" to ONR. I have a bottle of Power Clean (Spray version) and would like to add it to my wash bucket. How much should I add to 5 gallons of ready ONR while still keeping it a "No Rinse" solution? I would like to use the ONR cap as a bases for measurement.

The spray is usually diluted already as opposed to the 1 gallon version you dilute to your specifications.

so how much is an ok amount to add? I saw Scottwax do this, but it was for wheels/tire cleaning. not sure if it will still be a no rinse on paint...

Have you tried bumping up your ONR ratio first? I would think that it would give a little extra cleaning power without the potential to compromise your LSP like adding Power Clean.

Ah thats a great suggestion. On another thought, maybe it be a good idea to remove the lsp and start fresh. will this combo compromise the clearcoat?

If you add OPC to your ONR solution or spray it on the paint, you're compromising the wax/sealant that is already on the vehicle.

If you're going to be re-waxing/sealing, go ahead and use OPC however you want on the paint. I'd dilute it 3:1 though just to make sure it's not too harsh.

If you want added cleaning ability, add a 1/2 oz of Duragloss CWC (not CG CW&G, 1/4 oz.)or similar soap. It works fine using ONR as long as you don't add too much. It also helps to rinse the wash media more effectively (One of OPT NRWS' drawbacks for me).

If the car is that dirty where you are considering adding APC to your ONR, consider using a traditional wash.

Thank you for the good advice. Unfortunate, its because No Rinse solutions exist (such as ONR) that I am even able to even wash my car. I dont have access to a holes so ONR is the product that made it possible for me to take care of my car.

Add a bit of traditional shampoo or another 1/2 oz. of ONR and see if it helps. Also, use another mitt/sponge or two if you do not do so already.

A presoak with ONR solution from a 1 gallon sprayer will help to loosen the grime (if your not doing so already).

Good luck and report back what you try, along with the results. If you try the APC route, I'd be interested to hear your results as well. If its the premixed OPT PC, an ounce or less would likely be something to start with.
