No name Ferrari

The customer that owns this Ferrari not only wanted his car paint sealed but he wanted a slick/ deep wet look. Since he takes the car to the track I found dead bug carcasses all over the front end so I had to remove the bodies first. Using an all purpose cleaner to allow the product to soak, I then used a plastic net sponge to remove the fatalities. I used meguiars car wash soap, and clayed, and then washed again to remove the residue. Followed up with my paint cleaner and sealant (which has long been my secret to a wet look anyway) and here are the results. One thing I can't figure out is why so many Ferrari's don't have model numbers or emblems on the cars. I can't even tell you what model this is. I guess its kind of a cult, you either know (and your in) or you don't and your out. ?????

Ferrari 360 Modena and it's got the F1 paddleshift - you can tell because it has the mesh rear grills, whereas the regular transmission cars have a body coloured rear panel.

The 360 Modena is probably my favorite more recent body....those pics are enough to make me quit drooling over the vintage 275 GTB with the alloy body I saw a couple weeks ago at the concours event here.

Looks awesome, nice job!

or maybe it is like "if you have to ask for the price, you can't afford it" :D

nice job btw. ferrari's always look good in red. :xyxthumbs

Beautiful job. It's nice to see that a Ferrari is used the way it was meant to. I'd kill to have a Ferrari and thrash it around the track all day.

The 360 Modina is being replaced by the F430.

Here is a blurb.

Ferrari F430

The successor of the 360 Modena will be one of the eye-catchers of the Paris show. The Ferrari F430 has a V-8 with 490 hp and 343 lb-ft of torque, with which it will be able to sprint from zero to 60 mph in 4.0 seconds. New are the electronic differential and a system to adjust suspension settings from the steering wheel. It originates from Formula 1, where it is called marinetto. The transmission also originates from F1 racing and can shift gears in 150 milliseconds.

Looks like a 360 Chalenge to me. Great looking detail.

It's not the Challenge Stradale cause it has roll-up windows, whereas the CS Modena has little windows in the windows that slide.

Oh, and nice detail. 360 Modena's are ultra sexy.

Great looking detail! Someone said something about the rear mesh as opposed to the paint matched back. My clients 360 has the 6 spd stick and his has the rear mesh. I think it just depends on who buys it. You spend a couple hundred grand on a car and I think they'll accomodate you :)

:bow :bounce :bow :bounce The 360 Modena is my all time favorite car. It has to be the sexiest car made. Oh yeah very nice detail as well.
