New WeatherTech® TechCare® Heavy Duty Wheel Cleaner

Seem a little expensive. Just for comparison sake Meguiars Dub is 41 cents per oz regular price and on sale it is 23 per oz.

Yeah, or the Griot's Heavy Duty which seems similar to the Weathertech product, but is 60 cents/oz in the spray bottle or 39 in the gallon. But apparently the active ingredient in these products is very expensive, and since the MSDS's typically give a pretty big range, it's hard to compare the cost of these color change wheel cleaners when you really don't know the percentage of active ingredient.

Tough to tell just based on the msds percentages, but you can look at the specific gravity listed on the msds and get a feel for how much of the active ingredient each might have.

I have some (unopened)--bought it last year.

I'll try using it this coming week and throw in my thoughts.

It's been suggested that the SG numbers on MSDS's may not be that accurate either. Now, actually comparing weights for equivalent volumes in your garage might be a good comparison.

Well, looks like a job for the Todd man. He would buy a dozen or so and do a detailed comparison for us. Oh wait, he's what? Could somebody step in and take over?

It's definitely Griot's Garage Heavy Duty Wheel Cleaner. Same bottle, just different color sprayer.

amazing that companies will re-brand things like this. it seems every company that is somehow related to the automotive industry thinks it needs to have its own detailing and cleaning product line now, and very few of them aren't re-branded. only good that can come out of it would be to drive the prices down for other company's products. just stick to making floor liners, WT.

Before you post stuff like this, and throw around accusations of who is re-branding what - you may want to get your facts straight. I guess this is how Internet "truths" start??? Now all of a sudden, Griot's is re-branding for WT...??

That is not a Griot's bottle (22oz vrs WT's 15oz) nor is it a Griot's sprayer.
