New Toy: Husky 1800 PSI Electric Pressure Washer

I picked this PW up the other night at my local home improvement store. I'm in the process of starting my own detailing gig on the side but trying to keep costs down at the same time since it's just going to be on the side (for now). I know a lot of people use the Karchers, but it seems that there are a lot of people that also have problems with them. That's why I decided on the Husky. Here some info on it:

» Electric Pressure Washer

» Heavy-duty Induction Motor with 35' Power Cord and GFCI

» 1800 PSI/1.6 GPM (Gallons Per Minute)

» Heavy-duty Aluminum Axial Cam Pump

» 27'x¼ heavy-duty high pressure hose

» 34" bayonet connection with gun/wand

» 0-60° Fan Spray Nozzle and Turbo Nozzle

» On-Board Dual Dial-N-WashTM Detergent Tank (2 separate detergent tanks)

» 3-year limited warranty

With the weather improving (majority of the next 10 days in the 50*s), I'm anxious to test this puppy out. I'll report back after I use it a few times to give my final opinion on it.

I have last year's model which is basically the same unit with a few cosmetic changes. I got it for something like $64 on closeout when the new models came out. Great little machine. Not as powerful as some but good enough and not strong enough to do real damage. A friend of mine has one as well but he left it outside one winter and the seals all froze. Now it leaks like crazy. Mine is in the basement.

Gook luck with it.

Just grabbed one of these after my CH electric died after two years. I wanted to get something from costco again (awesome return policy) but the snap-on they had didn't have a control valve for the detergent tank and the husky had 2 tanks. Perfect for soap and apc. I went a few months with no powerwasher and I just can't do it.
