New Logo

Hey I've got a new logo for my fleet washing arm. It's primarily to keep my detailing and fleet services separate.

What do you think?

It looks nice, but unfortunately, due to the cursive and overlap, it is hard to read in a quick glance. I would try to find a font that is more recognizable.

Hope this helps.

I kinda think the effects are causing the most problems. Effects on Scripts aren't helping either. So, here's a b&w version and as well as version I simplified a little more. I'm going for a "truck lettering" style since I'll be going after fleet accounts— trucks etc.—and want to speak their language, as they say.

Black and white with heavier script. I think it's a bit easier to read.

I'll slow down on the posts now. Thanks fellas.

I would do some searching on the Internet to see what elements an effective logo contains. Also, take a look at the logos of successful companies to see what they look like. My other advice is to hire a professional designer.

quick typography lesson from a graphic designer:

don't use two decorative fonts together, instead make one a traditional or sans-serif (block) font. The dichotomy between the two, makes them look more interesting together.

Frankly, i think that bottom font looks like something I saw in Aladdin, so i would keep the top font and make the bottom one a bold sans-serif

It seems to me the lettering found on these trucks would be considered display/decorative if they are in fact fonts.

Ha Ha yeah :) thanks for being frank.

Swashes are extremely common in Arabic calligraphy, it's kind of their thing. I don't know the exact history or lineage but swashes started showing up in roman figures as well sometime ago.

I really think it'd be best to shy away from lettering that looks like familiar typefaces.

These look great but some are definitely influenced by the movement towards desktop publishing which makes me a little weary of using a bold sans:

a couple made with typefaces that look pretty good:

All in all I appreciate the feedback, This kind of lettering is definitely a challenge.
