New dodo juice BLACK WIDOW.

Since launch 9 years ago, customers have always asked us which wax they should choose for black cars. Our dark Purple Haze and Blue Velvet waxes were the natural answers, and have sold extremely well. Purple Haze is our best-selling wax ever, and the demand even led to the development of Purple Haze Pro and Blue Velvet Pro.

Today, we launch a black wax especially for black (and other dark coloured) cars, called Dodo Juice Black Widow Wax. This is based on our award-winning Supernatural Hybrid recipe – i.e. it is technically superior to either Purple Haze Pro or Blue Velvet Pro – and it will last 4-6 months on paint, with stunning beading, sheeting and wash/contamination resilience.

As it is a dark wax and we are approaching Halloween, we have had a little fun. Whilst the wax is an unlimited edition and a standard item, we decided to add a special surprise to the first 666 jars… each of these early jars contains a small plastic spider, to be discovered and removed by the user when the wax has been depleted enough.

I`ve never used any dodo juice. Do they have something like a sealant cause that`s what I generally use on customer cars due to longevity

" Supernatural Hybrid recipe" is their sealant + wax, the Pro series has the Future Armour spray sealant chem. added. I believe. ;)

Blue Velvet Pro and Purple Haze Pro are some of the best waxes I`ve ever used. So now, with Black Widow, we have an even better choice for dark colors? I`ll have to see the price first. BVP and PHP are right at that edge, price wise, where I don`t like to tread higher. If we can buy a tub of Collinite 915 or Poorboys Natty`s for less than $40, and they are SO good you can`t find fault, then to me, big diminishing returns set in around $70 for 200ml (street price for DoDo pro waxes).

I agree. I have both of those, and like them, but not sure they`re really worth the price. 915 is just so good, especially for the price.

I was hoping someone ACTUALLY bought and tried this "new" black-specific wax on a dark-colored vehicle. I see the link to AutoGeek`s Weekly detail fest and pictures of Dodo Juice`s Black Widow Wax (DDJ-BWW) applied to a black `87 Buick Grand Sport looks outstanding, but when Mike Phillips involved, it ALWAYS looks outstanding.

I must concur: I have Collinite 915 Marque D`Elegance Carnauba Paste Wax and at $37.00 US for a 12 oz. can/tin for a "premium" carnauba wax that lasts AND looks pretty good on dark-colored vehicles is somewhat cost-effective (AKA, cheap) in my book. I`m also on the fence about spending this much on a wax, as I see that DDJ-BWW is about $40.00 for 8 oz can. Not sure how this compares in looks/performance to black-specific Chemical Guy`s Pete`s 53 Black Pearl Signature Wax , Poorboy`s World Natty`s Black Wax, Top of the Line Black Velvet, or even Blackfire`s BlackICE Hybrid Montan Sealant Wax. That`s why I was hoping someone will try DDJ-BWW out on someone`s black vehicle (no detailer in their right mind actually OWNS a black-colored vehicle, correct??) and share their comparison, evaluation, and experience to the mentioned black-specific waxes.

Can anyone speak to the future armour spray sealant in comparison to Reload or Cure?
Durability, Ease of use, streaking issues etc.?

Thanks!

well applying anything is just about easier than reload- lol

I have future armour spray sealant, its pretty good stuff

awesome beads
no clue on duability but it leaves a nice shine

probably not as durable as cure or reload though .. but who still uses reload? lol

Dodo Juice is trying to replicate its success when it put a "Golden Dodo" in a jar of wax. As far as I know no one ever found the prize. I read some of the forums in Great Britain and they still rely heavily on wax and don`t even want to speak of waterless or rinseless washes. Very different here.

Lol I still use Reload v2 quite regularly :) If I apply it on a cool panel I dont usually have any streaking issues...

`don`t usually have streaking issues` is too risky for me
i gave mine away to white and silver car owners only and kept a few oz in case I ever make a detailing enemy, lol
kidding about the latter
