My girlfriend's aunt's boyfriend just bought a brand new Ford Ranger. 2 weeks old, less than 500 miles and he didn't wash it after he bought it :thumb:...but then I found out he let the dealership wash it . Car didn't look too bad until I clayed and wiped it down with IPA. I have 1 day left (waiting for him to bring it back over) because the paint is so soft it's not taking very well to any of my polishes. Softest paint I've worked on to date. I am unable to get a full correction on this paint, so there are some light scratches hanging around, but I didn't want to spend 100 hours compounding them all out and then another 100 hours lightly polishing the car. I already have about 16-18 hours into this car. I was hoping it would be a quick MF buff out, but the MF/D300 looked like sandpaper on this paint! Here are a few photos and a quick video.
Oh, there you are. Hello Swirls
A few scratches were found all over the paint...
Yup, the hood and roof were pretty bad for a new car. The rest of the panels had almost nothing.
A quick 50/50
And a brief video of the hood. No wax/sealant applied yet.
