Need a 2 in 1 laptop recommendation

I`m looking for a 2 in 1 tablet/laptop device

probably $500 range or lower

Looks like I`m choosing from Dell, HP, Asus, or Acer

I haven`t owned a computer in about 3 years so just trying to figure out if any of these brands are absolute crap and I should stay away from any.

Look at surface pro 3, not surface 3

Surface Pro or Lenova Yoga. However I believe both are above your budget. The problem with the ones below $500 is they don`t have enough memory,you need at least 8GB. Here`s a site that gives you an overview of 10 of them.

Surface is the only good 2 in one. So even if you get a regular surface 3 with 2gb ram it will be good with a good screen. ALL the other ones have crap specs and really low res screens.

How about an Apple iPad with a keyboard? My wife and I both use the new IPad Pros and she picked up a sweet keyboard that doubles as a case. I don`t need a keyboard, if I need to type anything I still have a laptop and a PC hooked up to my printer. You can get an Apple 4 refurb pretty cheap on eBay. I love my iPad.
