Well its late....2am Pacific Time and Im bored and watching videos on detailing as usual.
I come across a video where a detailer is using a microscope hooked up to his laptop to see scratches so he can really see what he is working with. I then decided to check my PlayStore (Google App Store) on my HTC Vivid which has a 8M camera and takes 1080p pics and video.
I can see this as a valuable tool to see scratches that could be normally hard to see maybe to weird lighting that might be missed normally.
The app that I downloaded from the PlayStore for free for my Android is:
Cozy Magnifier
Its very easy to use and it has plenty of options like, zoom, flash, pic taking and some nice filters like the negative filter to make out a scratch much easier as shown in the picture that I used that was taken on my coffee table.
Just by playing with it I can see this as a nice tool if the funds are not around to buy a microscope for your smartphone or laptop.
I will be using this app during my detail jobs and really testing it out but so far it looks very promising for a free app.
