my future plans...

twist

hey everybody i just took advantage of autogeeks 15% off sale, and i got a few goodies coming. So as far as my plans go i have the following: Poorboys EXP, Poorboys Natty Blue, Klasse AIO and sonus green and gray claybars. I also have klasse's SG, but i was reserving that for the wheels.

Ok on to my questions, im gonna spot clay with the gray and probuly use the green for the majority of the truck, don't want to marr the paint. I have heard the sonus gray can do that not being used right. Then i want to AIO the truck with 1 coat of klasse AIO. After I'd like to have your input on how many layers i should put on with the poorboys exp. I was thinking 1 maybee 2, what you think?

On to the Natty's Blue, i was thinking of putting 3-4 coats on---how's that? My truck is White and ive seen some beautiful white vehicles on here, thats why i bought it:)

As for the wheels im looking into getting some 24" Chrome Asanti's. Ive searched and the verdict is to wash, AIO, then 2-3 coats of SG, is that about right? They are chrome and i want to keep them protected and clean, this truck is my daily driver and it sits outside 24/7. Thanks for all the info, i appreciate it very much.

EXP can be applied once, he majority of the depth is going to come from nattys

3-4 coats is very nice, u will see alogt of depth/wetness. I think you will be pleased

good idea on the wheels, if ya wanted to ya can put a couple of coats of poorboys wheel sealent to help with the slickness/shine

sounds good deff post pics

Good plan for the rims. I believe picus uses poorboys wheel sealant, but I used AIO and 1 or two coats of SG. It works awesome. The rims now get significantly less brake dust on them. i was initially neg'ed when I sprayed the rims and the brake dust didn't just rinse right off, but the slightest touch remove every sign of brake dust. I usually scrub the tire with a tire brush, then take a shaggy MF sponge(one that looks like those shaggy dogs) and lighly go over the rims. That removes everything. I'm sure a sheepskin mitt or other wash utensil would work as well if not better.

I also purchased a mother's wheel brush(which bends at the handle) to get behind the 5 spokes(see avatar) and i use an old bug remover sponge to get inside the rim under the rotor(toothbrush for behind the caliper). I'm told a california duster dipped in wash soap works really well without wrecking the back of your hand.

Happy cleaning. Now all you need is a case of Corona and a few limes. Make sure you don't start on the coronas until you start claying or you'll definitely marr the paint.

BTW, looking for this 15% off sale at AutoGeek. Is it on select products, at checkout, where do you find it?

I think the discount expired. I entered it last week and it insisted it was over... 10% discount still and always available by using Autopia as your coupon code :)

i have a question...I have seen some people has like 10 coats of certain wax.

Do they just keep apply LSP? or do they start over from scratch?

for example:

I use VM -> EX-P -> Natty's Blue......so every month I'd just keep applying Natty's blue to add more coats?

If that's the case when do I actually need to start the whole VM -> EX-P -> then Natty's process over again? (every 6months?)

Yea the autogeek 15% off i think expired 1/31. Thanks for all the info fella, can't wait for the weather to warm up:)
