I was wondering how these products would rate in terms of durability, shine, and ease of use. I only have Steve's products, but I'm wondering how Clearkote would compare?

(For a one step)
Clearkote Moose Wax vs Poorboy's polish with carnauba.

Catorgory 2
Clearkote VM vs Poorboy's pro-polish. (I think these are pretty similar in terms of abrasives?)

PB is great product I've not used the others but plan on trying out soon.
The PB P-w-C is easy to use can be used in sun I find it to be about the best product that I have in my selection. Sems to me that it lasts for quite some time but my cars are garage queens

PB pro polish is great for lots of differnet applications. I love it on paint for getting super clean

Should be interesting to see what others have to say.

I haven’t used either one very much. I have too say I am very please with Clearkote Moose Wax. I used it on the door jams, under the trunk lid and under the hood. It went on very easy and left a great finish. Obviously because of where it was used I can’t testify very well as to its durability. However as I said I was very please with the finish and ease of use.

Category 1 - These products do the same thing, but take different approaches. Moose Wax is a strong petroleum-based cleaner wax. It does a very good job of cleaning paint and leaving the surface slick. I like it for door and hood/trunk jambs along with some painted engine areas. Polish with Carnauba gives a deeper look and works just as well as a first step product under any number of sealants or carnauba paste waxes. Durability is about the same from what I've seen. I don't use a lot of one step stuff except on the lawnmower. :)

Category 2 - Pro Polish and VM are two different animals altogether. VM is a hand glaze with very minor polishing properties. It also has a small amount of petroleum-based wax for protection. It's primary use is as a glaze. Pro Polish is a pure polish with no fillers, abrasives, silicones or oils. It can be used on many surfaces and gives a squeaky clean, clear look to the finish. Many like to use it as a paint cleaner prior to swirl removal.

So, VM will leave the surface a little wetter and hide minor flaws better than Pro-polish?
