Gentlemen,

Any thoughts on the difference Mothers Showtime QD and Adams Detail Spray QD?

The Adam's is nicer all around.

The Mother's is about the best OTC there is though; so it depends on what you're looking for.

Also consider CG's Speed Wipe as well.

Hi!

Mothers Showtime is only half the price of adams detailing spray for $4.99 plus tax in Walmart in ID. Or 32oz for like $8.99 and its about 95% the product!

The difference i feel is that Showtime is a bit of an old school product, its a gloss enhancer and cleaning QD. It wont leave anything behind on the cars surface either, Adams is much like Spray and GLoss and Spray and Wipe mix together. It leaves a bit more in terms of looks, i suspect b/c it brings its own content to the party.

Im a big Showtime and Quickshine user, similar products.

Not a big QD fan here. However, I have tried both, and the Adams is just a touch better. On the other hand, Showtime is very good, and is priced a lot better.

FK425 still gets my vote as the best QD.

Gentlemen,

I use QDs mainly as an aid in removing polish and wax residue. Between the two in this situation, which performs better?

Grabby,

If thats all you want it for then i think its a no brainer to go for Showtime, more for less money, almost no difference between them! :xyxthumbs

Absolutely! Showtime will do everything you need to do in that situation.

Actually, if that's the only thing you need to use it for, you should consider some ONR (Optimum No Rinse). Mix 6 to 8 ounces of ONR to a gallon of distilled water, and it makes a fantastic cleaning QD... and will save you "lots" of money.

If thats all you want it for; definitely go with Showtime. Easy to get; easy to use; and fairly economical.

For your stated purpose, I would go with Showtime as well. Another OTC option would be Meg's Final Inspection, although I think that might be slightly more expensive.

An IA and water 50-50 mix will do just fine for that purpose......and cheap too.

Adams smells good, both are fairly equal performance wise as QD's.

I prefer Adam's over Mother's any day. For removing polish residue, I really like Meg's #34, but it can be a little harsh on LSP's.
