Metro Vac N Go 500 review

PA DETAILER

DETAILED TODAY?
As the winner in autogeeks giveaway, here is the review. first off autogeeks shipping and packing is first rate. arrived yesterday ups. my usual vac is a shop vac. 3.0 plugged in the metro vac and tested it on my jeep. :jawdrop: THIS IS NOT A TOY. i could not believe the power from a hand held. the construction is solid stainless steel. the hose is a must. makes it so easy to use. the power cord, hose and all attachments are all first class. i would have gladly paid full price for a vac of this quality. i noticed the small things. already comes loaded with a filter. and comes with a exrta one. not to be used wet! if your looking for a small powerhouse of a vac, don't let the size fool you. this one is a winner! and in closing...:thanks autogeek!

Re: Metro vac review

*Sigh*

This really does me no good for a review at all. I am really disappointed.

There is one catch, you must post a review within a reasonable amount of time on the forum

It looks like this review took a matter of 30 seconds to write.

There is no pictures of the product itself, nor test of suction power (Against dirt and other debris on the carpets). And very few discriptions of the item.

Maybe for winning something that is worth a considerable amount of money, you would spend more than a minute typing this

I want to apologize to autogeek myself for this poor written review. I hope this doesn't effect any of the future contests.

Re: Metro vac review

Well, I'll be a little more tactful, but yeah - I think this "review" is a little lacking. Some photos and a little more detail sure would be helpful for those who may be researching the purchase of one of these vacs.

OMG! :wall
for one, i do not own a DC for pictures! guess what? not everyone does. ITS A VAC, how technical would you like it to be? ITS A QUALITY VAC. CONSTRUCTION AND PERFORMANCE ARE FANTASTIC. you know, i was happy to win. very greatfull as a matter of fact. so if you found the review lacking? call the CEO of metro vac. i am sure he can fill you in for hours on all the great features. maybe you can have dinner together? ....unreal...

Re: Metro vac review

Take it easy JK, the criticism (though perhaps a bit rough) was warranted. I don't think you write too many product reviews, so I chalk it up to youth and inexperience. You essentially said the vac sucks (as it should) with a couple of smilies thrown in for good measure. Not exactly fair "payback" for a free product.

You said you tested it on your Jeep. How did you test it? You mentioned your usual vac was a 3.0 Shop Vac. How did the Metro compare? What is a "first class" power cord? On the postive side, you did mention the stainless steel construction. Unfortunately that is about the only thing close to a "review" that I found.

I think if you sat down and spent some time you can come up with something a bit more informative. You should probably retract your temper tantrum post as well (two thumbs down for that).

Forgot to add: You don't have to have a digital camera. You can take pictures with a film camera and have the photos put on a disk.

You entered an agreement when you posted in that thread. It was clearly stated in the thread......

So if you are not into posting reviews, nor do you want to try please do not respond to this thread.

I dunno, if I got something for $70+ for free, I would be alittle bit more thankful.......And use that time to write a well written review

If you didn't want to post a review to begin with, you shouldn't of posted in that thread...

For some reason, i felt like this was going to happen somewhere

Re: Metro vac review

Having this thread turn into a big argument about the quality of the review is not going to make this thread very useful. Therefore I felt the need to delete some posts in the interest of peace and also to try to turn this thread into what it was meant to be, simply a review of Metro's Vac N Go 500 High Performance Hand Vac.

There is no need to let this thread get into a nasty debate about the quality of the review. When I first read M0nk3y's post I felt it was too abrasive but after re-reading it I decided to keep it up because even though it was a little harsh it expressed his disappointment and brought up a valid point of view.

I'm sorry JK but I have to agree somewhat that the review was lacking. I bet if you took a step back and read your review from a potential Metro buyers point of view you would agree that it was not all that useful. It did not look like you put much thought into writing it. The title didn't even tell us which Metro vac you were reviewing. Please just take this as constructive criticism and don't let it discourage you from posting future reviews or posting period.

I value each of you guys as members here and don't want to see this chase anyone away.

Please no more discussion about the quality of the review. If you would like JK to be more specific, please post a specific question(s) and hopefully JK will be happy to answer them.;)

ok. a little more detail on a great little vac. i am comparing the metro 500 to my shop vac with the 3.0 motor. upon unpacking the metro, you can tell the quality is outstanding. the construction is stainless steel. you will receive three attachments with the vac. a crevice, uphoistery and dusting brush. these can be used with or without the optional hose. the hose is just about a must have. it lets you reach everywhere needed. back to the construction. quality is the word here. from the power cord to the attachments the build quality is heavy duty. (you get a 5 year warranty on the motor) the size is small. about a foot long. very lightweight. on to the performance. i tested it on some usual dirt found on the interior of my vehicle. small rocks..etc. it made short work of this type of dirt. onto the breezeway steps of my home. same dirt, same amazing results. this little powerhouse is as powerfull if not more than my shop vac! one word of caution. can not be used on WET surfaces. included also are the operators manual, warranty card and a accessory order form if would like to order some more dust bags and attachments. it comes loaded with one dust bag. and you do get a extra one. simply replaceable by turning one end of the vac off and inserting the dust bag. this little power house is amazing. do not let the size fool you. i hope this review sheds some light on thoes looking to make a buy on the metro 500 vac. this vac sucks! in a very good way.

Good talking points JK.

5 year warranty on the motor is something as a consumer I would be particularly interested in.

Size...1 foot long. Much smaller than I imagined; from just looking at the picture. That size makes the unit extremely manueverable. Easy to carry into a vehicle or around the house.

Lightweight? Can you tell us how much it weighs?

Hey Rube: here's MY story. I wanted to know about this vac and the company's other products. So I went to CarDryer.com. As usual, it gave a ton of info about their product because they want to sell them. To people who want to buy them. THEN I came here to see if anyone had anything to say about theem. You said it well in your revieew. Maybe some people don't have internet access:crazy:

Re: Metro vac review

after a week or two of use, this is my go to vac. i have not gotten my shop vac out since. i usually wash/detail once a week, so this vac is more than enough for weekly dirt.
