Metabo & Makita Repair Service

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but anyhow...

Anybody have a good service facility for Metabo and/or Makita rotaries?

For some reason *BOTH* of my rotaries have wobbly spindles :hairpull I'm no rotary-Meister to begin with, and this is making things even harder for me. I hardly ever use these things but here I am, struggling with this in the middle of a job, and I sure want 'em fixed before the next time.

Can't figure out how I coulda done it (never abused them, but really- when both have the same issue it just screams "user error!") but I gotta get these things squared away.

We have a local local Makita service center, but they don't, uhm... inspire confidence. If anyone has had good results with some repair center I'd like to hear about it.

I went to Yellowpages.com and searched under Makita and found to places in Cincinnati. Are you sure your backing plate isn't just warped?

If it's the backing plate, then *all* of mine are warped (that's maybe six or so) and I get some wobble with the Edge adaptor too, so I don't *think* that's it.

On the Metabo, the spindle-extender wobbles, so I'm pretty sure that one's not the plate. I'll probably try a Meg's backing plate to make sure (I'd like one that's a little smaller than my current flexible ones anyhow).

Cincinnati is a ways from me but at least it's not out-of-state...I was hoping somebody had a shop that they'd done business with, one I'd know I could rely on.

This is a PIA, working on the terribly-marred, rock-hard M3 with rotaries that vibrate like a PC :angry
