Price & Price Per Ounce:

$4.99

$.31/ounce

Manufacturer Claims:

Quik Interior Detailer is the fastest way to clean and shine all interior surfaces. Use it every time you wash or Quik Detail your paint to give your interior that "just detailed" look. In just minutes, your entire interior can look sharp and smell fresh. Quickly and easily maintains the look and feel of interior plastics, vinyl, leather, rubber, metal and even audio/video equipment. The safe, high lubricity formula lifts off dust, ashes, dirt, grime, spills and fingerprints without build-up. And, unlike traditional protectants that leave an artificial greasy feeling, Quik Interior Detailer leaves your interior surfaces looking natural and revitalized.

Packaging:

A nice, cleanly put together bottle that fits well ergonomically. It proves very easy to use and the sprayer produces a very fine, controlled mist.

Color/Scent/Viscosity:

It's a clearish water thin liquid that smells very fresh and pleasant.

How I used (as per instructions):

Spray on surface and wipe away with an MF towel.

Overall Thoughts:

I tried this product on both prior protected and never protected surfaces. In both instances I sprayed 2-3 spritz' per panel and wiped away with an MF towel. No matter what, the product never streaked. I liked the very very slight darkening effect it produced on non-protected surfaces, letting you know that the area was 'fed'. On protected surfaces I felt it took away too much of the sheen from my protected dash. I like a bit of sheen so what I did was spray 1 spritz onto the MF, then wipe the dash clean. This proved to work better and easily removed light soil. This product also removed light soil marks pretty well showing its 'Quik Detail' tendencies.

Other Notes:

I will keep this in my arsenal for my weekly wash customers and occasionally for my use if the soil content permits.

I am a member of the Meguiar's Product Testing Team, but this review was purely objective in many ways and the feelings are true.

I wounder how this stands up to Sonus?? It sound the same..

Sonus cockpit detailer? I used it and found it to have very little cleaning power. I think that the only reason that it cleaned is because of the moisture.

Thanks for the review Sean. Sounds like I should stick with Meg's #40:)

I love this product. No shine just a clean 'like-new' look. Great for high end vehicles whose owners don't like the shiny stuff.

Looks promising. Do any of these interior QDs, either from Meguiar's, Sonus, or 1Z, produce a film on the windshield over time due to evaporation, etc?

I'm looking for the lowest sheen possible, but with UV protection!

There's an interesting topic. Is it possible to have UV protection if the product does not leave a film?

A slight film is okay with me, but if heat causes it to get all over the windshield, it seems like a hassle.

Sounds like this Meguiar's product is not leaving much of anything behind, including UV protection.

Cheers for the review. Plan to grab a bottle off this, sounds like an alternative to the 1Z CP without the nasty smell.

Mike has said it leaves some uv protection, but not as much as a true vinyl protectant.

IMO, the new Meg's consumer products are really smearing the divide between the exclusive/professional products and the OTC stuff. Instead of seeing slapdash moneymakers or watered down pro products, we're seeing products that have been specifically optimized to give superior results to home users.

To note, I noticed ZERO haze or outgassing from this product. It darkens oh-so-slightly as I noted and leaves a touch of UV protection. Using weekly or bi-weekly I'd say your ok, but anything more and your dash it definately unprotected.

To me UV protection in a product like this isn't all that critical, I am really sceptical about how much actually stays behind in any product anyway. I have lived in Florida most of my live so the first thing I always do to a new car is tint the windows as dark as I can get away with and put a dash mat in. The dash mat ain't pretty but, it does the job.

Anyway, I have been using Z1 Cockpit Premium. I came across Meguiars Interior Quik Detailer recently and bought a couple of bottles at Advance Auto. It seems very similar to Cockpit Premium. It does leave a nice matte, clean and natural looking finish which I like. It definitely smells better than Cockpit Premium. For me, this will be a good replacement for Cockpit Premium when I run out.

Thanks for the review Sean. I may try some of this although I've been happy with Cockpit Premium and 303. This is definitely more economical.

Well I can't comment on the cleaning ablity (because I have a new car)But i love the way it works and the way it looks. if i need to clean I just pull out the wolite mix and have at it.

I think the dash mat looks pretty good. I might try one in my 88 Camry.

I read this review at work and stopped on my way home to get a bottle......can't wait to try it.

Yea, it sounds like a light cleaner to me, not really a dressing.

I'd really like to see Meguiars come out with a version of this product with more (as in standard vinyl/rubber dressing) UV protection because I just love how it looks....or should I say, doesn't look!
