This question may have been asked before, does foam pads like the Meguiars yellow foam pads work well in applying Zaino products, such as Z2, Z5, and ZCS? Sal recommends and sells only cotton applicators.

I would only apply zaino with a LC black/gray pad they are much softer than the megs pad

BTW most apply zaino by hand, it uses less product

I think he ment the hand held foam applicators...

FWIW, here on autopia, pads=buffing pads

and applicators= hand held foam pads

If your asking about machine applying you want to use somethign soft like Meg's tan polishing pad or LC's black pad like Diesel said...

If you asking about the hand held applicator, you could apply it with this, though I started using Sal's cotton applicator and like the feel of that better.

:) I only use Megs hand yellow foam applicator to apply my Z2 Pro & Z5 Pro. So far so good. I really like it than the cotton applicator.

I also use Megs W9006 Finishing Pad with my DA to apply Z2 Pro but it really used up a lot of product. I guess its coz of the viscosity of Z2 Pro, the whole pad is soak up & waste a lot product is u use DA to apply. :) TQ.

STOP.......NOOOOO....... you will cause some sort of black hole by combining Meguiars and Zaino products!!!! Kidding aside, I don't really like the yellow applicators for Zaino. It seems like Zaino is too liquid and goes right for the center of the applicator, wasting a lot of the product. I do like the applicators for regular waxes though. The cotton applicators from Zaino seem to work well for me.

I've found that Z2pro and Z5pro work best with cotton(straight line application) although foam applicators are OK. I've found that Quickie MF applicators (Home Depot) work best for CS-don't ask me why as I normally hate MF applicators.

Thanks for the clarification, TH0001, I did mean applicators. I'm new to the forum and still learning all the abbreviations.

So it seems that cotton applicators are still the way to go for Zaino. Thanks everyone for the input.
