Meguiars Gold Class Carnauba Plus+ Quik Wax 16 oz.

since i braved the weather yesterday, and the xterra was still clean this morning, i broke out the megs GC QW to try out.

$9.99 for 16oz. (mine was free from a megs kit).
sprays on in a milky white thin watery base (almost like a QD)
spray on panel and spread out with MF. then simply buff out.

i will give credit to megs here. it did not streak or smear and will not stain plastics. it was easy to work with. for a OTC product, i cant fault it. it did leave a just waxed look finish. it also claims it can be used in direct sun and excels on black.

total working time was about 10-15 min.

would i go out of my way for it? probably not. i can think of other quik waxes that would excel in this area. BF MIDNIGHT SUN SPRAY WAX comes to mind. along with DURAGLOSS AQUA WAX.

definitely a great product for the price. would i rather use BFMS spray wax? yes, but for a readily available otc product without an extra shipping cost, it still rocks. meguiar's is one of only a few companies whose products i wouldn't hesitate to use when in doubt about a product.

I use to use that quick wax or the ultimate quick wax from Meguiars. Both are great products. The only con I could find with them is that they only seem to last two weeks before the wax diminishes.

Other than that one con, I agree with everything you said!

i have heard that the ultimate version is a step up?
Meguiars Ultimate Quik Wax

a little better shine and protection.

When I used to use both of them, they seemed very similar to me although the ultimate definitely smelled better. Maybe the ultimate seemed to apply better but it could've just been in my head since l paid more for it lol. Either way durability is not its strong suit
