Making your own fluid

What if i decided to mix AIO and water and then pouring it into the windshield fluid container and using that for windshield fluid?

I think it would be too thick and it would smear when your wipers went over it.



There is already a product that is similar to what you seem to be trying to accomplish. That's 303 Windshield Washer Tablets.

AIO and water? Not a good idea.



Besides, at most places (at least here in the mid-west), washer fluid is 99 cents a gallon and that will last all winter.

Yeah I agree. I use the P21 washer fluid add-in myself.

*And* since you're supposed to shake AIO thoroughly before use it might separate out of the water in the washer reservoir and make for a real mess there and in your washer fluid lines. And it won't be freeze-proof the way most washer fluids are.



This is one of those "oh man, I really wouldn't try that...." ideas
