Looking for vacuum brush suggestions

I've searched the product reviews and several online stores but didn't turn up anything.



I'm trying to find a couple of good vacuum brush attachments, as I feel like the ones that came with the vacuum and all the generic ones I've been able to find in stores seem to be light on bristles and contain a hard plastic ridge inside the bristles.



I recall seeing a picture in a detailing thread of one which looked wedge shape, but haven't found out what it's called or where to buy it.



I need something that'll be safe on just about every interior surface.

several alternatives is a swisswax or comparable detail brush to loosen the debris and your vaccum nozzle near it. Compress is another safe dirt removeable. You can also tape up the plastic of your existing brush.

try a vacuum shop in your area. they may have or know where to get one. the usually will have a horse hair (or something like it) type brush attatchment.

Although it's not terribly cheap, I picked up a carpet brush by Dyson and I have to say it works great for interiors. Long bristles, on the stiff side, but not so much as to scratch anything. I thought I would want MORE bristles, but it seems to just work right.

....that's been my gripe with most of the brush attachments I've run across (soft bristles, cheapness, density, etc.). I have a separate brush I like to use but I end up using two hands during much of the process. Even though I would still use the other brush initially and/or at certain times, it would still be nice to have a decent brush attachment.

That looks like it'll do perfectly, thanks very much. The wedge shaped brushes look very close to what I remember seeing a picture of.



I wondered about the dyson one too (I found a soft purple plastic one) but I couldn't tell from the picture if it'd fit a regular vacuum hose or only a dyson one.

Yeah, the Dyson attachments are somewhere around 3/4" to 1" diameter.

For occasional (daily - while at lunch) interior detailing I actually use a goat-hair brush I found in Walgreens in the cosmetics section. Bristles are the perfect density, length and stiffness. It's so soft that it doesn't scratch the delicate, clear, plastic over the gauges or any other surface, yet it still gets junk out of the seams.



What I need now is a brush like that that will attach to my vac. Any suggestions?

IMO too many, or too densely packed, bristles can compromise the vacuuming. I only want enough bristles to dislodge the dust/etc. so the vacuum can suck it up, not so many that they get loaded with dust that doesn't make it into the vacuum until I fluff those bristles up (with the vacuum running).



The brushes that came with my Sears/Kenmore/Panasonic canister vac have pretty soft bristles. A few too many of 'em for my taste but they work OK as long as I do the fluffing thing before they get too loaded up.
