Looking for really skinny tape

Anyone know where I can find some really skinny tape for detailing - I've been using the 3/4", 1.5", 2" and 3" blue painter's tape (3m/Scotch), but sometimes I wish I had 1/4" and 1/2" tape. Anyone have any suggestions (other than cutting the tape)?

Also, I also often wish I had flexible tape (like for taping off sun roof moldings). Anyone know of any flexible tape that doesn't leave residue?

Thanx

I think you would have better results with the 3M 233+ on trim pieces that bend or arch in different directions. The 233+ (green) is moderately more elastic in comparison to the Blue. The 233+ is manufactured in sizes smaller than 3/4" but I think you will be hard pressed to find it. Also, because the adhesion/inch on the Green/Blue tapes you may be better off with regular "tan" mask in sizes less than 1/2" due to the higher tack. My local ABS carries it. HTH.

A client of mine had 1/8" tape from Detailing Dynamics (just add .com for their site). They did his clearbra and he asked if I used it to tape off the edges to prevent product from getting in. Worked nice.

Yes, for taping off the edges of clearbra, skinney, flexible tape would be perfect. Also for pinstriping. I'm going to talk to some people I know at a local body shop to see what they use and where they get it.

Thanks.

Went to a auto paint supply store and found the mother-load of tape options. I bought all the differnt sizes of green tape, ranging from about 1/8" to 2". I also bought some of the 1/4" flexible tape forgoing around tough corners - expensive, but if I figure my time is worth 1$/minute and it saves me a few minutes each time I use it...it'll more than pay for itself.
