Looking for a good portable steam vac...

I need somethin i can take on the road w/ me to clean the carpets and cloth seats..



can anybody reccomend one..

Steam Vac Hmmm I would try those Bissle vacums and steamers they work pretty good and arent to expensive like a carpet extractor would be. also there is some addons thay you can buy for vacumms thats like an extractor. If your vacumm runs on water instead of filters and bags.

I found that I don't need steam. I have a 6.5 HP Crafstman wet dry vac. I washed floor mats last week on an Acura. I got them soaking wet with a hose and removed all the ground in dirt. I sprayed with 303 carpet cleaner and scrubbed with a brush. I saturated with water to remove. The wet dry vac with all that power completely sucked up and extracted ALL the water. It was slightly damp. One hour in the sun and they were bone dry. A quick vaccum and they looked brand new.



A heavy duty wet dry vac will work every time. Just remove the filter.



For the floor boards, I mist with a little water and then carpet cleaner. Same principle as the floor mats. I scrub and then extract and then rub with a towel. The floor boards are almost completely dry. Just be sure NOT to saturate.



Its cool, you can see the water leap out of the carpet and shoot up the hose nozzle.
