I've done that, I had 12 straight hours of sceduled college classes (engineering classes) and work, then I went and worked on a class project for 2 more hours, then I went and helped tack weld the mini baja car frame, then I hadn't been back to my dorm in 26 hours so I went to sleep.

In the middle of the floor, which hasn't been cleaned in about a month (homework you know, and the shopvac is at home).

Yeah, sometimes you're just tired.

I do that now, sorta. Except I will sit on the side of my bed, and nod off. I've learned to balance myself pretty well, apparently, as I will sleep like that for upwards of 2 hours if not disturbed by my creeped-out wife.
