Leatherique on vinyl dash?

Does anyone know if the leatherique rejuvenator oil can be used on vinyl dashboards or does it only work on leather? My dashboard is dry and fading in some spots and I was wondering if the Leatherique RO could help.

Does anyone have any other suggestions about a dry, discolored dashboard? Or is using a color-matched Leatherique dye the only other option?

Thanks for any info

I dont know much about leatherique, but for your dry and discolored dash I would say use something like Adam's VRT or Poorboys Natural Look or Poorboys Trim Restorer.

I have not had any luck with leatherique on vinyl - just stays on top. Try 303 aerospace protectant (not always available at the auto parts store but available at all marine stores). I have had good luck with 303 on old vinyl. I advise against any Armor-All product.

There are also kits for re-dying vinyl, typically used for vinyl-top roofs, for bad discoloration. All I can say about these is if you use it, you will probably have to re-dye the entire dash to match the color. Search the board for more information on such products.

Use 303. It gives to much shine and can cause glare on your windshield. 303 is the best rejuvinater for leather(ique), rubber, and vinyl. I have a Audi A4 and have Leatherique seats and I use Meguires Medallion every 3 months and 303 every month. 303 is unbelivable. I've seen it on 12 year old cars in Arizona (Aunt) and her vinyl and leather looked new. Not cracked like everybody else there.

I buy a two cases for my customers everyyear.

If it's real bad I suggest dying it. Or try some leather care in a little are, but I don't like it on dashes because of the glare and the shine.

You might have to re dye it like Espada said. I would consult your dealership for the correct dyes.

Try 303 for a couple applications first.

Yeah I heard a lot of good things about 303 Aerospace Protectant. It is real versatile too, so it is worth every penny. thanks for the replies everyone, much appreciated.
