Leather Conditioners

I recently started using the woolite leather cleaning solution with great success, but would like the leather to be a bit softer. I have used Lexol leather conditioner and hated it, it actually made the seat feel sticky. I then tried Zymol's leather conditionr and was quite pleased with it. It made the leather softer after cleaning it. I was wondering what people use on their leather after cleaning it. I really like soft and smooth leather. Im not looking at restoring so no leatherique please.

I'm fond of the Eagle One Leather Conditioner. Works well, relatively inexpensive, and leaves the leather soft and non-glossy.

Cleaning leather: Woolite 6:1

Treatment: Zaino Z-10. Closest thing to new leather smell you will find!

Most leather today used for vehicles (just about all) are coated leather. They do not cure the leather like older English cars had, that's why they have to use Hide Food. Those older cars did not have a coating on them. They were tanned the old fashion way.

A good cleaning with a mild detergent and a horsehair brush, wipe off and rinse with a damp clean rag and let sit to dry.

A small amount of Z-10 wipe and your done.

Trust me, I have an Ecru interior (light cream almost white) in the Lexus!

Really bad leather: LEATHERIQUE! Best way to recover poor leather!!

Deanski

~One man’s opinion / observations ~

Criot’s Leather Care, Autoglym or Zymol Treat leather cleaners are all good maintenance products)

~Hope this helps~

I'm hoping to see if I can get that in a gallon size.Suppose I'd have to call and ask directly.

I have the very light cream leather in mine and I use the Woolite mix and the VW ( rebranded Eagle 1) conditioner or "The Tannery " conditioner. both work well .. Tannery smells more like new leather. I have used the Tannery stuff for 5 years now on numerous vehicles of mine with sucess.

Tannery was the very first conditioner I ever used, was a favorite of my dad. Is it still an aerosol?

No its a pourable cream style lotion .. I like it cuz it is easy to apply and it doesn't have a greay film to deal with.

Has anyone tried Spinneybeck? I'd like to learn more about this stuff

I thought they were a leather hide supplier/re-upholstery company, I don't know if they make their own leather care products

I've used Lexol, Zaino Z9/10, and now TurtleWax leather care (which I would never have tried were it not for certain autopian's recommendations that makes me try way too many products. :D )

All performed pretty well. For most of my customer's they can't tell the difference as long as the leather is clean and supple.

The only one that customer's compliment though is Zaino Z9/10 and I have the feeling it's because of it's great smell.
