1. Packaging & Labeling. Is it well packaged? Are the labels durable?

The packaging and labeling of the Langka products are very good.

2. Helpful instructions on label?

The included instructions was straight to the point, very helpful, recommend reading prior to using this product.

3. Does product do what the manufacturer claims it does?

Yes, it really does work as claimed by the manufacturer.

4. Value. Is the product a good buy? If a liquid product, how much per ounce? Does a little go a long way?

Well worth the cost, considering you want to keep your vehicles chipped/rust free.

5. Easy to use? Hard to use? Did you read the directions and use as directed?

Very easy to use, yes read and followed the directions. I was amazed how easy it was removing the paint blobs.

6. If known, what is the pH of the product? Is it safe for enthusiasts or should it be for professional use only?

I would say it would be safe for anyone to use in a well ventilated area.

7. Describe the product smell, viscosity and other physical traits if any.

The blob remover, Prepaint, and Paint sealant has a faint smell of old timey model glue.

Dwayne recommended this paint chip repair kit by Langka. It really does work!!! I have a few places on my 2004 F150 door dings, rock chips (on front bumper), even a couple on the cab roof. After applying your touch up paint from the dealer, and allowing it to dry a couple of days, you use the blob remover with a smooth clean tightly woven cotton cloth (a t-shirt, dress shirt, etc), wiping back and forth with minimal force. The blob remover only affects the touchup paint, not the original paint. After using the product you can use the include paint sealant or your favorite paint sealant/wax. I even had a few paint blobs from this past summer, and it worked on these as well. Also cannot be used on lacquer painted surfaces. This kit can be purchased at Premium Auto Care, it is the Langka Paint Chip Remover Complete Kit. No more wet sanding paint chips.

No, I did have some more chips that I had to repair, once the paint has dried, I will take some before and after photos.

ah, great review. i look forward to seeing the pics. ive really been contemplating over buying this for my car too.

I've used the Langka products a few times and must...

concur that it works very well. Langka does a terrific job in smoothing out the "blob" so typically associated when you do a touch up. However, it stands to reason that one important component is how well your touch-up paint matches the rest of the car. Otherwise, it'll still look weird. This was the movie that sold me on Langka. It was done by a customer. Be warned that it is over 11 MB in size, so give it time to download. The car is a 2004 Mazda 3S.

ps: Not a paid endorsement as I paid full price for my Langka kit.

wow, great video. does this work with those bigger chips? ill take some pictures of a couple of chips that i have on my car tomorrow morning.

It'll work with any size chip. If the chip is shallow, you need to go slow during the smoothing out process with the cloth/card. Otherwise, you might actually pull out all the touch-up paint from the chip. It works well - just go slow.

Also, if possible go perpendicular to the scratch/chip, this will also help from pulling the paint from the scratch/chip.

This is an excerpt from Langka's web site (www.langka.com):

C. CLEAR COATING the Repair: Optional
It is NOT normally necessary to do this, but IF the chip is large and the remaining paint in the chip appears "dull" (this can happen with some metallic colors), you will need to apply clear coat to the repaired chip. Some paint manufacturers provide two bottles, the paint and a clearcoat and the following applies as well. There are two (2) methods we recommend.

1. The Two Step Method: After following Steps 1,2,3 above you may clear coat the repair if desired. Clear coat applications requires a very fine tip brush . Simply dip the brush into the clear coat solution and wipe the brush on the inside of the container to remove excess clear coat from the brush. You are only trying to very "surgically" apply a very light coat to restore the shine and provide UV protection to the larger repaired areas. You do not want to apply a blob of clear coat. (IF you apply a blob, you can remove the blob of clear coat with LANGKA...but it is best to be as "surgical" as possible). You may want to have your kids do this...better eyesight and all. TIP: rest your hand on the vehicle to stabilize your hand during this application.
What I do is, repeat the process using clear coat touch-up. Once the touch-up has cured (I leave it for a few days), I just use Langka to smooth out the "blob." It's no different than smoothing out a blob of paint.

i found this product on the internet and im happy to find out it works. The problem is i dont thing my touch up paint is good enough. The color looks decent but when i sand or polish it it makes touch up paint turn darker. Will this do the same? is there a better place then my bmw dealer i could get touch up paint? should i order the whole kit of this or should i just get the remover stuff? i think im gunna need quite a lot becasue my car has been keyed.

I have found that with metalic paint colors it works better I apply just enough of the color paint to match the shad of the surrounding area of the repair. Then I fill the rest of the chip with clear after the color coat sets up good. This helps eliminate most of the color variation you get with metalic paint. FWIW, I haven't used Langka yet but this is what helps me when using the fill and wet sand method.

I think I'm just going to order the 4oz bottle instead of the whole kit. Is that other stuff really needed? I have like 20 large scratches and I'm gunna need a lot of it.
