While reading through some threads this morning I thought I saw Clean Dean wearing Knee Pads. And after thinking about it thought that was a great idea!

Anyone else use knee pads while they detail? If so any specifics on what they are ect.

Thanks

I use them all the time. Goto Home Depot, there's million of them :D
Esp in the summer time, when you wearing short pant. The knee pad help-out alot.

Just avoid the painters ones that have the rubber straps, they yank out your legs hairs and it hurts like you wouldn't beleive.

Lastdetail,
Thanks for the tip.

I like to use the foam kneeling pads made for gardening.

I have used both knee pads and the kneeling pad as shown by Eric. I also have two different stools which I employ a different times. I've also thought about a crawler. Lots of kneeling on hard (and hot too) concrete surfaces can only serve to limit your detailing days. ;)

I don't use knee pads. attatched it what i use. It a craftsman roller seat. cost me 20 bucks from sears. It a whole lot easier to just roll around then to get up and get down multiple times.

One of my stools is a roller version available from Harbor Freight and Northern and probably several other stores. It was on sale for something less than $20 a couple of years ago and probably hasn't gone up much in price since.

Same one I use and it works great. You even have a extension on the bottom so you can scoot around and not leacve your products behind.

You know the sad part is I got a stool like that for christmas this past year along with a new all billet Jack! But My house is up for sale and I don't want to take out any more stuff than I have to!

I use one of those red mechanics stools, only thing that I don't like about it is the wheels stop if you hit anything like a tiny little rock, and will not do well unless you are on a smooth surface.....I also have knee pads but find that I like the gardening pad better, you can move it around the car with ease. I find that most all knee pads bunch up be hide your knees that's my .02
