Well I recently went to Walmart and bought turtle wax... just the basic Carunaba wax or however you spell it. It was cheap (like 4 bucks). It seems to make the surface pretty smooth and a decent shine. I know there are better products, but how much better?
I bought a buffer from Walmart as well that was like $14 I figured I would try it. It's probably not as high powered as an expensive one but It looks alright. Anyhow I'm probably going to take it back and opt for either a drill-powered buffer, an air buffer, or buy a standalone buffer. Which do you guys recommend?
My truck is about 2 years old and has some swirl marks all over it along with what looks like dried rain droplets... The paint is still fairly shiny so I don't know if polish is necessary. Of course I don't know what product removes swirls, but I am guessing a certain kind of wax and a buffer would remove or hide the swirls right?
Also I could use some recommendations on wheel cleaners. I have Amorall wheel cleaner and its not the best. Its only good for light jobs. I have let my truck go all winter without cleaning and the front wheels have large brake dust accumulations. The back wheels are fine. There is just alot of baked on brake dust I can't get off with scrubbing and the Amorall stuff. I assume not to use acid.
One last quick question. Does waxing make only rinsing necessary for a while until the wax wears away?
