Is a waterless wash safe for paint before polishing & waxing?

Sort of starting out and trying to understand if ONR is a safe (and convenient way) to wash vehicles without having to pull a trailer with a huge water tank. The logical part says don't take a polishing wheel to paint that may have dirt on it.

How well do these waterless products work? Is this replacing conventional water tank detailing? There also is an added cost to continually purchase the chemicals to spray the vehicle down. Have a look at this video: YouTube - Waterless Car Wash Demo White Van

FYI, ONR is not waterless. It's rinseless. I washed my car with it this morning and then waxed it afterwards with no issues.

Wow. Did anyone else get scared watching that? Lots of dirt, plenty of circles, not turning the towel, and what seemed like moderate pressure being applied to the paint--honda paint.

ONR does work differently and IMO better. I do mobile detailing and use the customers hose for the wheels and fender wells and ONR for the body. I tend to avoid any water spots that way.
