Having been in the auto detailing business for over 33 years I had an employee who worked for me for 24 years, thats right 24 years. I trusted him like a brother. This man was part of my family. He saw my children grow up and we shared many of the same dreams, I actually considered him my best friend. Well on July 24th 2006 another employee of mine who worked on and off over a 10 year period came in and told me what has been going on since 1986. He informed me that David has not only been stealing from my business as far as supplies, tips and customer cash but he was also stealing my customers and doing between 4 and 6 cars per week on the side. Talk about the feeling of betrayal. Here is a guy who had everything going for him. I gave him everything that he ever had. I can only warn the people of this forum that have been in business for a period of time DON"T TRUST ANYONE I had great controls in place and he still found a way around them because I treated him like family.His career and name is ruined for life and he is now history. I just thank God that I found out about this before I let him take over the entire business two years from now.
if you put 100 guys in the room and 99 would go with her, I would have put all my money that he would be the one who would not have screwed around with his friends wife. the guy was like a brother and I knew him for over 10 years. good thing you found out before you let him run the business.
