How to get water stains off mirror

A while back I did some washing on my truck, and I guess I must have missed drying the corner of my driver's side mirror. Now there's a little bit of water staining where the water has dried on it. Glass cleaner doesn't remove it so, I'm not sure what else to use that will not scratch it. I don't want to use any abrasive products and end up with all kinds of scratches instead. Any ideas on what to use?

Yep, dab a little on a microfiber, give it a few swipes and the spots should dissolve. If not, hit it again until they do. Follow up with some glass cleaner to remove any debris and you should be set.

If the vinegar and MF doesn't work, dip a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser in Vinegar, then rub it on the spots til they're gone. Just make sure you don't rub the eraser on anything other than the glass itself.

F.Y.I.

alot of side mirrors are made of plastic not glass

so use caution with that Magic Eraser

as I think it could mess up plastic fast

also the Vinegar might require some dwell time to dissolve the

spots try just holding the damp MFn the spot for a little bit of time

and see it that helps

Ewwww.... yeah, that would not be good at all. Definitely a *glass only* thing.

agree with bigjim here ever see someone steelwool a mirror? lol not a good thing! use lots of lubricant of your gonna use an abrasive on a mirror!!!

I have not seen vinegar work really well except on very fresh water spots. I used a product called A-MAZ and it worked on regular glass. I want to try DG NuGLass.
