How do clean these aluminum parts?

I would like to detail my engine bay but first the biggest eyesores are the aluminum parts. Especially the oxidation on the aluminum parts. Im wondering what would be the best way to go about cleaning these? Here are some examples. I just picked up this car this summer and would like to have a really nice looking engine bay.

Baking soda and vinegar would take the loose stuff off with a brush..Your going to get them clean but not looking new again, looks like they could be pitted.

Another product on a brush would be CLR

Flitz makes a product called Industrial Strength Pre-Clean which removes white oxidation easily. Spray it on, brush, and rinse off. We dont' carry the Flitz line (yet) at Autopia-CarCare, but I believe it is for sale at other sites including Autogeek.net.

Hahaha not at all actually! It was obviously turbo, the VC says Toyota, the engine bay looks kinda cramped, and it has a tubular manifold (meaning there was a decent after market support for the car). The only thing I could think of was MR2! :)

Have you used this before? What do you think of it?

for me to remove that stuff i took a really gentile wire brush with some aluminum polish on it, might be easier to remove the intake manifold and get it soda blasted and then paint it silver to be like factory. btw nice 2nd gen 3sgte project! guessing its a mr2 turbo!.
